I bought a bunch of Archery Summit Pinot in 2009-10 based upon advice from friends. They all said my indifference to Pinot Noir would change after experiencing the wines of AS. Well, not so much... overall I have been disappointed, especially at the prices paid for my AS bottles. This is my last bottle. Time has not changed my opinion. This is an average wine. The cork was highly darkened, however the color was a brickish dark cherry; smoky licquorish on the nose, medium bodied........... the rest is disjointed with pieces of heat, dark fruit, oak, weak tannins, light acidity. Overall, rather bland. The finish is rather long, but filled with nothing but heat.

Most disappointing AS pinot I've had. Almost astringent. Thought it was flawed but 2nd day it mellowed a little to a tolerable level. Other comments confirmed the problem.

There is a light cherry fruit, but otherwise it's a little too much acid and tartness and is light even for a 2007. Certainly drinkable, but disappointing for a Archery Summit and for a Renegade Ridge.

Drank over two days, first day not impressed, bitter finish, burnt. Second day the fruit returned, and the bitterness faded. I have had this wine many times from other vintages and enjoyed it much more,

We bought this wine at the vineyard and cellared , waiting for an occasion to enjoy it, after a bit of maturation. Love the rich dark fruit with a silky quality...such nice balance with great structure. We took the wine to a top LA restaurant. It tasted wonderful with all of our entrees. What a pleasure!

Dusty taste that blew off over time. Tart, slightly bitter, sharp taste. Ended up being far more drinkable the second day and actually nicely balanced. Not a wine worth the price and an example of why 2007 OR Pinot is so hit or miss.

Young but showed great promise. Earth and loam along with deep red fruits. The acidity and tannins were assertive and will be useful for aging. Has a big rustic elegance flavor profile with complexity. Needs time in the bottle.

Solid wine. Very complex without the Smucker's berry in your face. Maybe not as polished as a similar priced Domaine Serene, but this may change. Cab-like mouth feel should appeal to Pinot skeptics. Short decant time took care of a scary stink at initial opening.

Thin, uninspiring. Disappointing, much better choices out there at this price point. This is the second bottle we've tried. Decanted, aerated, just not pleasant.

I think this was opened way too early. decanted almost 3 hours. Still too tight with a strange bitter taste that lingered in the finish. Disappointing. Have one more bottle that will remain down for a few more years.

Drinking great, was more subtle, good fruit and acid. Wish I had more.

Tough vintage. Pretty good. Not sure if it will benefit from any more time.

Better with a little more age but still not up to par or worth the price.

Think this is corked! Bad nose, dreadful flavors. We hadn't been overly impressed with this wine other times but this was a totally different critter.

Very dark fruit, some vanilla tones. With some time opened up quite nicely with a juicy, lengthy finish.

Pretty good, very young with jammy fruit. I think I am starting to favor pinots with more restraint but good nonetheless.

Excellent wine. Still a little young, but it had mellowed out a bit from previous tasting. I will wait a couple more years for my last bottle.

Red fruit and zingy acid. A little earthy, with a hint of forest floor. Enjoyable but not worth the high price tag.
