Everything I hate in a white wine. And more specifically in a Chardonnay... I really wonder if the wine I have drank is the same as the comments below. Anyway, it was purchased in the UK... It was not corked.
On the nose, you get some banana...(true!).. toffee... melon ... The mouth is even worse.. Starting with a strong alcohol kick... midpalate lacks of flavor, its only oak and alcohol.... and it finishes like a shot of vodka.
One of my top 5 worst wines ever drank, but I am happy to see some people like it which means I was not totally ripped off when I bought this bottle, we just all have different tastes.

apple and grapefruit on the nose. Stony with more acidity than expected. Similar fruit in the mouth with stem bitters mixed in. unusual chardonnay for me.

I think they try too hard to copy French Chardonnay. Color is gold, and nose is oaky and lemon. It has this warm warpped feeling in the mouth. A bit sweet too but not as much as honey taste. However aftertaste is short and the whole image faded quickly. A great opening but disappointing finish.

I am writing this entry a week after tasting and without my notes, but wow this was an impressive wine. In fact, I've had a few Chilean wines this year from different wineries and all have been impressive.
As soon as you pour this wine, you'll notice it's heavy golden hue. As such, it's a bit of a heavy/sweet wine but not overwhelming. I won't write too much detail, but it certainly was smooth, refreshing, and went well with dinner - an asian seafood soup.

Smell: sweet, fruity, apple, pear, peaches, pineapple, ripe tropical fruits. Taste: Thicker texture, not very crisp but very fruity. Medium length finish with a little zippiness. Not woody, off-dry (1) and notes of star fruit, white peaches, apricot, green apple, and grass. A little flat on the taste: doesn't follow through with the fruit.

very fruity/pineapple and pear smell. Smooth wine with lots of tannin and bitter tea leaf. Quite herbal with lots of cedar wood. Not as fruity on the taste as the smell but does have some citrus/bitter grapefruit in it.

Bright yellow with green hues. Sweet aromas of baked apples, vanilla and some citrus fruit. Intense oak in the mid-full bodied palate, good fruit and high acidity. Somewhat disconnected at this state, needs some time in the bottle to settle down. Long finish.

Very tasty, but very hot, can't believe this is 'only' 14.5% alcohol - Gold, full bodied with a nose of peach, pear, caramel, butter, cream and vanilla on the nose, huge, complex, a touch off balance, decent complexity and acidity, creamy smooth on the palate with good length (89 Points).

Light-medium gold colour with green flecks. Big, rich nose of vanilla, white flowers, pear nectar, alcohol. Full-bodied, unctuous, with vanilla, pear, alcohol, spice, and hazelnut butter. Decent acidity. Moderate-length finish with more hazelnut butter, spice, and pear notes. Heat comes through on the back end. Big and buttery.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club": A mixed set (@ DJ): In the bouquet stinky and organic, wet walnuts. On the palate caramel, marzipan, nuts, acidity and sweetness in the finish, but this bottle was in fact too old.

Minneapolis Food & Wine Show Grand Tasting; 2/22/2010-2/23/2010 (Minneapolis Convention Center): Nice use of oak, lemon, mineral and orange peel. Solid finish and good example of what Chile can do with Chardonnay.
