Had a "leftover" bottle. Outlasted the drinking window and quite enjoyable. Still with a floral bouquet but citrus has given way to an almost licorice aroma. Palate quite full and bold. Long finish for a Viognier. Glad I held onto this by accident. Ages quite nicely.

Here is an interesting off shoot white wine you can really sink your teeth into and discover some nice combinations with. While I don't have the expertise to properly catergorize this wine, I can tell you what it paired with to a tee. Having a roasted chicken, broccoli, and a salad with this wine, one particular element from the meal lit it on fire, those being the kalamata olives. Whereas the wine was working just fine with the aforementioned items, when eating one of these olives from the salad and immediately taking a sip of this viognier, it entered another dimension. Gone was the crisp acidity and in its place the creaminess and texture of a delicious wine. The transformation was fun and educational at the same time and made it clear how important it is to try wines with individual components of a meal as well as in their entirety. Have fun with this one, and if you can get it under $20, pick one up. It's a great alternative to the usual Sauv Blancs and Chards you're drinking.

I just love this wine. Crisp, refreshing and just enough hints of sweetness. Wonderful citrus. Went great with some sliced pears on the patio.

Really amazing citrus taste. Paired GREAT with stuffed mushrooms and smoked provolone cheese. Great mid-day outside kind of wine.

Nose has nice tropical melon. Palate is full bodied with lots of melon, decent complexity. Good.
