A rich and graceful Pinot that has aged beautifully. Light red in color, medium in body, nose of bay leaf, sweet cherry, and soil. Tastes of red raspberry, strawberry, eucalyptus, and forest floor, with a marvelous balance of fruit and secondary characteristics. 14.9% alcohol. Quite impressive.

Plum, strawberry on the nose. Smooth, balanced finish. Very well balanced Pinot. Very drinkable - drink now if you have it. Don't know much longer it will last.

My last bottle of this wine of which I bought several 3 or 4 years ago because I liked it so well. It has been a good one. Deep cranberry flavor with a little forest floor. Better the second day.

The Far Coast vineyard sits between 900-1200 feet above sea level about 2 hours north of the Russian River on a Sonoma Coast ridgeline. I bought several bottles of this wine several years ago after trying it and really liking it. This was a good bottle with good deep black cherry flavor with a hint of sweetness.

Big and rich in the Hartford style. Well-balanced with nice flavors and just a touch of sweetness. The oak shows through on the finish and on the nose but it is not overpowering. Drinking nicely now. The tannin structure suggests that it could go a awhile longer, but why wait?

Scary Good Reds, Rated 90 Points and Above (Farpointe Cellar): Cherry and cake spice on the nose, with some spice and blackberry at the end. Soft and juicy on the palate, with lots of cherry fruit and good acidity. There's some spice and pomegranate on the mid-palate, and some spice on the finish.

A very good pinot, it's not ready, though. Too tight. You can drink it now if you must, but decant. It has a few years to go before it really shows it's stuff.

Took a bottle out for dinner--better than the one we drank last week--maybe it was the Veal Milanese?

A fairly rich and still quite vibrant wine. Fruit is still fairly bright with a nice darker fruit undertone.

Disappointed in this. Bit heavy handed with touch of heat. Nose probably best part with some nice spice notes.

Stellar... Classic New World fruit. Could use a longer finish... Perhaps with time?

Opens up beautifully to a rich complex set of flavors. Even better with more time?
