Nice acidity. Fruit was a bit muted at first, but opened up over the evening. This is definitely a food wine and paired well with a smoky bacon marinara sauce.

1st night - decanted for a couple of hours. good tannins and red fruit (cassis /cherry) and a little acid. 2nd night - opened up to great fruit - straight cassis. I'll have to decant the next bottle a little longer....

Darkish crimson red. Sweet nose of strawberry, cinnamon, and vanilla. Light to medium bodied, pomegranites, sweet cherries, zippy acid, well integrated tannins, green tea, and a medium finish. An enjoyable Barbera.

Red berries, oak and some spice on nose. Very fruit forward on palate with fresh cut strawberries, bing cherries and vanilla. There's nice acid throughout and fine tannins on the long finish. Overall, this is quite approachable, easy drinking and probably great with food thanks to the crisp acidity.

Sweet and tart. Both in good ways. On the nose mostly earthy goodness plus some red fruit - maybe cherry? The colour is a nice purple. Flavours of raspberry, especially on the finish. Nicely balanced with the acidity, on the high end of good.

med to light tannins, high acidity, needs a couple hours before it really gets smooth. Liked it with red suace/pasta. Its better with food than as a standalone drinker.

Getting to the end of its window. 1 hour of decant helped, but still a little on the harsh side. Better drink the remaining 2007s quickly.

Doing wonderfully. Opened it up to leaves and leather, and it opened up into a mouthful of cherry and earthiness.

Consistent with prior note, except the acid fell away on day 2 and it got a little too sweet.

Highly acidic with little fruit. Maybe this one was flawed as the others have been great...

Nice red color. Light on tannins. Good balance. Red fruit, a bit of sourness. Enjoyable but not special.

A delight to match with our big bowl of pasta with red sauce and meatballs. Medium weight, enjoyable with and without food.

A lovely red, nice for summer with just enough weight to pair with lamb chops done on the grill in a stout glaze that was in the NYTimes this week.
