This was refined. Had aromas of honey, chalk, minerals and lemons. Its medium bodied layered medium bodied palate has nice verve, highish acidity and a clipped fresh medium long and classy finish.

Wine comes together after it's been opened. This wine has continually been a disappointment, but now, with some age, it seems to be evolving. Still tart with grapefruit-ish fruit, but with time in the glass seems to blow off some of the weird nuances that I had seen before. Seems to be developing a lingering (good) aftertaste, too. I have about four more bottles of this, and will see how it evolves over the next few years.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not tasting what others are tasting. This is a Frederick Wildman bottling, so should be better. Nothing really wrong with it, but just doesn't seem to have much there there. Meh flavor, minimal nose. This is probably the 4th bottle of this that I've had, and it just doesn't seem to get better. <shrug>

The perfect bottle of wine for early Dungeness crab! Slight buttery notes, with nice lemon accents. Rich palate entry but with clean, bright finish. Only one bottle left- hope to hold onto it and see what it does with some age but will be difficult to do so.

Interesting range of opinion and description on this wine. Bottle variation? I'm on the positive end. I really enjoyed it with a trout amandine and agree with Gaschief. Light creamy nose. Crisp, minerals and citrus palate. Very light oak and no malo that I noticed. Gets richer with more air. I think it delivers a lot for price.

Les Sétilles represents good value in white Burgundy, as always, though quality of course varies with the vintage. A little on the tart side, and simple, but easy to drink, and the acidity makes it a great white with food.

This had too much oak for my taste and maybe too much malo as well. However, the oak regiment was not out of whack for the region rather the grapes were uncomplex in this cuvee would not lend themselves to extensive aging and thus not allowing the oak to integrate. I would drink now and with appropriate food. The one shining light is the marked acidity that is entirely indicative of the 2008 vintage.

Nose: Honey, white flower, kiwifruit, vanilla, and some slight chalkiness. For me, too much honey and oak, and not enough fruit and mineral.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, but feels racier than that because of the acid level.
Palate: Nice attack, with a good combination of sweet and tart, juicy lemon and pineapple, and honey. The finish is creamy and of good length; again a bit too much oak for me, but the acidity and the chalky mineral presence saves it.
Grew on me as it breathed in the glass and I became acquainted with it. The palate definitely outshines the nose, mainly because of great acidity and a more pronounced expression of its mineral note. Despite being disappointed when I first stuck my nose in the glass, it turned out to be a nice white Burg for the price.

Pale gold color. (13% alcohol). Nice, soft bouquet. Good body and fruit on palate. Sort of a hybrid between a California Chardonnay and a French Burgundy, but leaning slightly to Burgundy. No matchstick as feared. Well made if not too complex. Ready to drink now. (I paid $17.99).

Wow! This is deserving of being decanted. A very youthful light yellow in the glass, with a nose of lemon, white flowers and oak. A very tart Meyer lemon and green apple, with forest floor on tasting, with excellent acidity. This improved as it was open and warming over 2 hours, with notable garrique/forest floor to add interest. This is a wonderful entry-level white Burgundy, and happy to have 5 more bottles for the future.

Consumed at the Chesapeake Inn with crab cakes. Minerals, citrus and vanilla on the nose. In the mouth a medium body, with marshmallow and butterscotch, minerals, lemon and citrus notes. The finish is very crisp and very acidic reminiscent of chablis or sauv blanc. I enjoyed this but Ann didn't like it much due to the acidity and minerals.

What's not to like about this? I think $18 at costco and is nice wine that tastes like it is supposed to. A blend of Puligny and Merseult fruit- smells like other Puligny's I have tasted, with a touch of a (for lack of better descriptors) match-heady, diesel nose- a hint of VA. Lemon Cake with nice acidity, nice minerality, and moderate complexity. A strong entry level Puligny went well with food and continued to provide interesting well after dinner.
