Not much to report on this bottle. Color a nice, transparent mid-ruby. Wet fur aromas which dissipated quickly, leaving not much else. No discernable fruit. Tannins somewhat drying. Prominent acid. Might have shown better with food.

Still a bit primary, but not bad. Firm acidic structure is still dominant but there is enough fruit to give some pleasure. A bit disjointed but seems like it will pull itself together in 2-3 years. Good weight and depth for the price.

Improved tremendously over the year and a half since I had this last. Pop and pour, drank over 4 hours. Ripe red fruits, rhubarb, tobacco, and fine abundant tannins. Still has a ways to go to shed the tannins, but drank pretty well on this day. Paid $24 and worth maybe twice that.

Nice nose of orange peel and cherry. Red cherry and tart raspberry take a backseat to the acidity, which is slightly harsh. Overall, I like the light body and complexity of this wine as there is a bit of oak and tannin on the finish. Maybe in time all of the components will really come together. Right now, an enjoyable wine if you are looking for this style.

Fresh, bright, fruity but not bright taste. Nice aromatic nose of fresh red fruits. A very well balanced pinot type wine. Pairs very well with grilled shrimp. Very much compliments, not dominates, the meal.

Slight different then the bottle we had a few weeks ago in that this time around it showed a little 'bretty' with a bit of a bardyard funk to it. It wasn't too overpowering though so we still enjoyed this wine quite a bit and the funk did seem to subside a bit after a good amount of aeration.

Pretty nose. I can smell the acidity of the red fruits on top of strong soil and some kind of mocha + fig? The palate is very floral, good acid, elegantly smooth on the tongue, great finish with red candy, good acid and a side tongue resalivation. Really long pretty floral reflux after drinking. Lots of minerality and some earthiness opened up after half an hour.

Purchased for $28 and at that price, this is a steal. A few days ago I had another great 1er Cru Potel which was just a couple dollars more but this one outshone that one by a bit. Popped and poured and served with some Chinese food. A little more fruit showing on the nose then the previously mentioned wine and this one has a nice racy edge to it with slightly better fruit on the palate as well. Excellent wine for the money. I'll certainly pick up a few more of both bottles this week.

Dusty nose with lush red berry fruit in the mouth. Gripping tannins.

Bargain Burgundy (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Light medium ruby. Lighter style with earth and some candied sweetness that seems artificial. Tannic for its weight.
