Medium to dark purple. Aromas of cherry, apple skin, oak, incense, sulfur. Medium sweetness, medium acidity. Medium body, strong tannins. Overall pretty forgettable...plenty of sulfites make the nose less than enticing, and the tannins are rather rough and harsh. Not without some good points, but not something I'd take much delight in.

color: crushed velvet purple; nose: faint raspberry; taste: non-descript thinnish fruit on initial impression, short, slightly medicinal finish backed by light-medium tannins; overall: disappointing package that lacks flair, no notable characteristics to bring the thunder, tastier alternatives abound at same price point ($11 at Morris Miller in NW DC)
