The first of 4 purchased on release, it was decanted for 2 hours with half the bottle poured off to a 375 and put in the fridge to try again in a few days. Served with cheeses, this wine is a beast that comes off as an attempt to create an Argentine Amarone. Dense, extracted, backward, and tannic with 15.1% ABV, it was totally wound up giving little on the nose or palate. I just don't care for this brutish type of winemaking and will likely pass them on to my adult children who are more favorably inclined to this style.
12/17/2012 Update Little change or improvement from the reserved portion after three days.
