This bottle never fails to impress me. No matter what vintage or even how old, this is a great bottling. Ripe and rich aromas of vanilla, creamy pears, orange blossom, and ginger. The palate is stunning and so balanced. Creamy texture and not over done with oak. Just enough to add some spice and vanilla. Would put up against some of the great white Bordeauxs any day.

Passport to Woodinville '05: <Barrel Sample> I was very impressed with this white. 58% SBlanc and 42% Semillion Murky and Cloudy at this stage. Strong aromas of grapefruit and honey carried right onto the concentrated palate. Crisp acidity and a nice lingering finish.

Valentine's Day dinner at home. With Eric Ripert inspired poached halibut with herb vinaigrette. And a few lovely ladies.

Actually tasted a bit mellow, vanilla-ish, almost like a charddonnay tonight. Perfectly nice, but none of crispness that it usually has.
