Found a few last bottles in my cellars. I thought the wine has passed its peak, the cork is almost soaked to the top. To my surprise, I think it still has a few years. Nose notes of blackcurrants, ripe citrus, oak and wood spice. Balanced acid and complex palate. Slightly closed, and bit of dry vanilla to finish. A wine reflective of its terroir. I always been a great fan of Antinori. Better than the previously remembered of the earlier bottles that I openned. Remember to decant it for at least 2 hours before drinking.

PnP a 3L.
After an hour - dusty dried cherry, black olive, tobacco, herbaceous.
Since I'm not adventurous enough to drink an entire 3L to myself. I'll update with tasting notes from day 2.
Day 2: basically all the same tasting notes with a touch more acidity coming forth.
