  • Proper bottle this time. Lacy and nuanced with good complexity and length. Tannins poke through a bit on the finish, so will wait a couple years before opening my last bottle.

  • PnP, drank over two days, left corked in the fridge overnight. I found this a bit disjointed and unyielding. The nose was dominated by reductive aromas and didn't yield much over two days, bright red fruits and earth lurking beneath. The texture upon opening was beautifully silken with a lacy minerality, but it soon muddled into something slightly lesser. The lightness, complexity and depth of flavor were impressive, if again a bit muddled and subdued, with great acidity, subtle tannins and a long, mouth-coating finish. The elements are all there, they just need time to come together.

  • Focused, elegant, and pure. A solidly made burgundy. As EirikM describes, a perfume of cherry, earth, spice box, and forest floor notes all come together beautifully. Terrific balance& presentation.

  • Gentle and elegant wine with power, purity and a tremendously nice balance. Chambolle by the book!

  • Stunning chambolle that drinks really well now. Sweet red fruit deepens and shifts into a darker spectrum from the nose to the palate. Beautifully perfumed. Really quite complex. Seamless and very smooth. If someone asks why chambolle is described as sensual, this is not a bad wine to show them as a reply.

Good structure as well with a nice lift from the acidity. Sure, it does lack a bit of concentration and length, but this is the kind of wine that makes it very difficult to put the glass down.
