Lovely stuff - as reliable as burgundy can be. Light cherry red fruits but not confected or jammy, jolly well put together. The kind of wine you can find yourself not appreciating fully until you get to the last cople of bottles in the case...
Definitely my drinking burgundy at the moment - outstanding price in Berry's sale last year.

Light pink and ambar on the eye, light currant on the nose. Little mineral.
Excellent now and offered better result in no time. Keep one bottle for two/three years.. Willl smooth acidity and become perfect. I am impressed with the result for a general borgogne bottle.

Interesting bright garnet hue, cherry, raspberry and a squeeze of clementine on the nose. Lovely fresh palate, not lean at all and a lovely example of a pale pinot with surprising concentration. Sappy, pure and mineral with a finish that lingers, this really is an excellent Bourgogne.

Wonderful example of young bourgogne rouge! Bright, high toned red fruits, little tannins, nice tart finish. Went incredibly with food, a killer bottle. For the money I'd score this one 95!

Popped and poured. Pale garnet color. Fresh, bright, frankly pinot nose of beets, cherries and earth. Very full - deceptively so based on the color - on the palate with mouthfilling flavors of ripe pinot fruit, savory acidity and waning tannins. The wine wins no awards for complexity but it more than makes up for that with grace, balance, and harmony that I have rarely seen in pinots at this price point from anywhere. Lovely and delicious.

Burgundy Under $30 (San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Very light with an orange tinge. Subtle earth and red fruit aromas. In the mouth, wood char, spice, and an unexpected degree of sappiness. Only marred by its astringent finish. Nevertheless, still good.

Really opened up well after about an hour and a half, and drank even better on the 2nd night. light to medium bodied, and very light in color, but with some deeper, soy-sauce notes on the nose and red fruit on the palette...probably a bit pricier than it needs to be for what it is, but nice Bourgogne.

Very light in color. Beautiful Volnayesque perfumed boquet--strawberries, earth, and flowers. Lingering finish of crushed rocks and fresh strawberries. Feminine. An exciting bourgogne rouge.

Consumed at the monthly wine tasting group event. Is this rose? Very light red color. Notes of herbs, oak and salinity (sea water). Palate dies almost instantly and there is no finish. Weak effort. Would not purchase again.

Ditto my prior note. All grace and subtlety. Simply magnificent with roast chicken, pasta with black truffle cream sauce, and steamed asparagus.

Serene. Pale ruby color. Earth, sour cherry, a little campfire. This is what all Bourgogne rouge should taste like.

nose: seafood and rhubarb. light in red fruit
palate: tasted like strawberry juice to me. Empty, a bit spritzy, and flat. I felt like I should drink it out of a plastic sippy cup. Not impressive.

Vineyard Gate: 2007 Burgundy, Montille and Chandon de Briailles (Millbrae, CA): Nose of light cherry and other red fruits. Light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate fruit complexity and an underlying minerality. Good acidity and gripping finish. Excellent food fine.
