This is what 9 year aged Napa can should taste like. Classic flavors with an extraordinary balance between acidity and fruit and oak and structure. Some vanilla notes from the oak and an overall sense of balance, finesse, and complexity. Will stay at peak for 1-3 more years.

Mid red, no signs of aging, eucalyptus, mint, raspberry on the nose; good minerality, heavy oak; currant jam, supple, drying tannins, acid a touch low cause the wine to come off a bit short and sweet. Mediocre effort in a great year.

Disagree with some of the previous ratings (in a good way). Cellared since release. Pnp Dark red and black fruits on the nose with some leather. On the palate vibrant and young. Fruit forward style with vanilla/ caramel on the palate with acidity to provide balance. Tannins still present but mostly integrated - could sit a few more years
No visual signs of aging, wine red through and through. Eucalyptus, mint, minerality on the nose; currant jam, jam, cherry, mint on the palate; mid acid and texture, medium finish.

Ruby colored with medium legs. On the nose Chocolate, both Red Currant and a little Black currant, something like Mineral, maybe Sandalwood. On the pallet Blackberry and Black Olive.

Drank over two nights. It took a little while to open up (about an hour) but after that it was very good. Vanilla and fruit on the nose with flavors of black cherry. Well made wine just give it a little time when you open it.

Cherry and herb nose, more reserved flavor with very smooth tannins. Light red color and wonderfully smooth mouthfeel. Terrific wine, one of the best we've had this year.

Another winery that in my mind represents great value for money. Very consistent in terms of quality. The nose is quite reserved. Not as bombastic as the typical napa cab. Maybe a little white pepper and blackcurrants.
On the palate, the wine is well poised. Not to heavy, but represents a great mouthfeel. Restrained vanilla and notes of kirsch. Dark fruit (blueberries) that just sail on. Love it. 90 its is stingy. Its outstanding, period.

Sonoma Wine Tasting & San Francisco - March 2012; 3/22/2012-3/27/2012: Dark purple color. Very dark aromas of cocoa bean and blackberry. The aromas are almost paint-like in their density. The palate is obviously dense and dark. The blackberry and black cherry fruit is backed up by grainy tannins. All of this is slathered in gobs of oak and mocha. Low acid makes this a bit harsh on my palate. After a week of more balanced and less oaked Sonoma wines, the massive injection of oak on this wine really overwhelms me.

- Crimsom color and aromas of black currant and cherry and has flavours of cherry and fig with a medium body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Refreshingly fruity on the palate, mild tannins, wonderfully long and pleasant finish. A favorite wine!

At a good spot. Tannins mellowed but still nicely structured with the cab fruit and some spice. Probably best right now.

Red currant, cherry, jambomb. These bottles are shockingly different and not going in a good direction for my palate.

This bottle was shockingly green. Maybe tasting a bit off on bottle variation. Low acidity is a bit tough against the nonexistent tannins.

Herbaceous, full flavored, and very enjoyable. Had interesting complexity. Not cheap, but probably worth the tariff.

Dark red fruit and nose of cherry. Medium body, with smooth tannins and a pleasant finish.
Enjoyed this with several friends alongside several other $20-$40 wines. Definitely the crowd favorite and WOTN.

Dark fruit, pepper and overwhelming smokey oak. Very one dimensional. Lack complexity and very dry on the finish.
