Excellent bright color. Fairly aromatic with ripe fruit and some floral notes. Much different than most Paso wines I've tasted, very much toned down with a smoother method and subtle French oak (no oak monsters here! Thank you!). There are some mineral tones and even a grassy barnyard flavor going on, I have 3 more bottles so will post if this does not continue with the others. I actually enjoyed it, but it threw my wife off (we tasted blind). Because of the design we were all over figuring it was some hot spot in S. France or Spain. The fruit is obviously ripe, but nothing else coincides with typical Californian wine. I love being surprised on blind tastings, this presented an exquisite change of pace and we thoroughly enjoyed its high quality fruit presented in such a fashion. At $15 this is certainly a good QPR and worth a try if you come across some.

This was a pleasant surprise. Great oak on the nose and palate. The blueberry is very strong thru the entire taste. Its a bit overpowering. Color is light red and pleasant. I would drink this again. No decant

Tons of oak right out of the bottle. An hour later, I smell oak and blackberry. Color is a darkish violet red. Berry flavor, nicely balanced. Quite good overall.

For the price I suppose it is good. Some fruit, acid and even a bit of charcoal (which I like). Great QPR.

A solid sipper. Nothing extravagant going on here, but nice oak aroma and a light berry pickup on the palate. Smooth and balanced. Good QPR.
