Quite atypical for a Jackass Hill Zin, but still excellent - delicate and light, although after an hour in the decanter the fruit emerged nicely. Still Nothing like the 2002, though, which was dense, powerful, big, dark, ripe, and viscous.

Full red. Wild aroma of spicy perfumed white grapefuit (???!) Weird canned red fruit on a firm acidic frame. This was so unusual, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Not the big ripe in your face California Zin I'm used to. 10/05

Rich, ripe, medium full bodied, with dark cherry, blackberries, black raspberries, plums, smoky spice. Medium long finish.
