Dusty nose of cherry to raspberry to mulberry character. Some licorice and slight tar. Light to medium bodied palate with slightly tannic grip, carrying acidity and quite thin fruit. All this considered the palate is quite balanced with nice stone dust and tobacco notes in the aftertaste. Mid-length. A pretty nice Nebbiolo in fact. If I pay 20€ for a Barolo, I sure as hell don't expect much of it. I liked this even if I've had far more prestigious-tasting Nebbiolo d'Albas from better producers.

Colour somewhere between brick and orange. No fruit left on the nose. After some air time, it becomes dominated by a licorice-like flavour, with only a hint of damp earth in the background. Palate is light-bodied, with no tannins, a candied/confected kind of sweetness and high acidity. Short+, somewhat heating finish. Overall, this was a weird Barolo experience; it doesn't even taste like a Barolo. Although still drinkable it seems past its prime. Flawed bottle? Hard to rate.

Brick colored, brown at the rim. Cherry, woodsmoke and some tar on the nose. Nice red fruit on the palate with quite high acidity, tannins and alcohol but the wine is very accessible. Good value.

Barolo at its most accessible, it drinks more like a humble Langhe Nebbiolo than a proper Barolo, but it is nice and fruity enough. Typical Nebbiolo aromas of roses, earth and a bit of tar. The palate has generous fruit, but it shows a bit of heat and the acidity is higher than I would have expected. It finishes relatively short, but clean. Affordable and pleasant, but not repsentative of the Barolo DOCG. Drink from now until 2015.

delicate on nose, forest, and autumn leaves. Taste: delicate tannins and a nice hint of dark berries. Nice acidity.

Not as critical as some others before, but not even near a "proper" Barolo. A bit thin, fruity, close to no tannins

Grape juice with only a slight hint of the tannins that is the key point of a barolo. As boring to drink as watching paint dry.

Dark ruby red
Aroma: slightly mouldy with dried fruit and herbs
Medium body (light for Barolo's), so more elegance than power
Good length
Nice and easy Barolo
