Appearance: Pale ruby. Aroma: Light on nose, some vanilla, sulfur, cherries. Taste: A simple wine, light on the nose and on the palate with hints of red berry fruit and extremely mellow tannins.

Did they add black pepper to the barrels? Overly strong taste of pepper from start to finish in medium bodied wine with minimal-to-no sweetness and strong tannins. Just didn't work coherently.

Pinot Noir Tasting (My place): Lightest of 4 wines we drank in a blind tasting. Green nose with lemongrass, under-ripe fruit and a little pepper on the palate. The acidity that was there wasn't in balance with the fruit, like biting into a greenish white strawberry. Did not evolve over the night. Only wine that was disliked of the 4 we had, but was the cheapest offering.

At best an oak wine with a humburger or a slice of pizza.
Little to no varietal character or sense of place.

An undistinguished pinot noir. A bit fruity for my tastes.

Reliable everyday Burgundy. Relatively mellow for a young wine. About $13.95.

Very drinkable, dry pinot noir. Needs some more time, had a stronger nose the second day.
