Plump and ripe black fruit supported nicely with spice and earth. Still holding well, aging gracefully. There was a bit of drying tannin that slightly detracted from the overall experience, but still very good overall.

Medium cherry red with medium transparency throughout. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, vanilla, and raspberry. Red fruits throughout the palate with some black tea elements toward the medium-long finish. Held well over two days.

Dark red color, mixd dark berry nose with some herbal background, dense dark berry and plum fruit on palate with a trace of herbs and mineral, Tannins were well integrated and fruit finish was smooth and fairly long.

Drinking great, superb balance of raspberry, cherries, and an earthy savory nuance. In the mature window but years away from being too old. Drank with chicken and mushroom casserole. Coravined glasses on two separate nights.

This was my favorite Bergström vineyard bottling from 2008, and I’m gratified that it has aged so well. Plenty of plummy dark fruit aromas when I first opened it, but over 3 hours it took on nuance, length, and secondary flavors. The mouthfeel was round and full, perhaps suggesting some new oak barrels were used in the elevage, though there certainly isn’t any other evidence of that now after 12 years. Long soulful, savory finish. A new world Pinot but a good one.

Wonderful combination of ripe black fruit, maturing gracefully, with earth, but still more fruit than earth. Fun background spice, slightly on the sweet side, adds additional charm and nuance. Holding nicely, probably good through 2025 or so.

Last bottle. I had my second to last about 16 months ago and it's time to drink these, as they're past prime. Thinning fruit and a not much beyond that. It was enjoyable enough, but I wish I had these 3 years or more ago.

I bought 3 of these on release. My memory of the first which I opened soon after purchase was that it was unexpressive. It was pre cellar tracker and I did not leave a note. This second one is still not giving much. No flaws just not much pleasure. It is a little austere. I am a big cool climate acid fan but this has acid, tannin and alcohol that feel a little out of balance. There is some spice and baked red fruit as well as some refinement. Almost calls to mind alto piedmont wines which I love. It is certainly not bad. But I am just not that interested in finishing the bottle. I wonder if I just never had this in its window? 1 more left. Have trouble imagining it will be better at any point.

Black cherry with sweet spice, maturing gracefully. Good+ weight, good length, finishing with the sweet spice and just moderate complexity. Best to enjoy through the next few years.

This was a very light-bodied Pinot. The nose was great, with rose tones with red fruit. The palate was light bodied and really peaked an hour in, and then went downhill again. This won't improve with any more age, and I think it lacks a little concentration.

We took Burghound's advice and put this wine away for 6 years after purchase. Impressed with our first bottle tonight. Dark red color, red berries (raspberry with a little strawberry aromas immediately upon opening which expanded over time. Medium weight on palate with deep flavored earthy red berry fruit, some minerality, trace of acidity, some sweet tannins finishing nicely with bright berries. We think it will continue to improve with age.

This has benefited from some time, when I look at my prior notes. I don't usually hold new world pinots this long, but I'm glad I didn't write it off. Musty and tart initially, but opened up over the next 2 hours to show a bright red fruit profile that is nicely balanced with earth, minerals and spice. Silky texture, smooth finish, light to medium body.

- Brick color with fast forming legs. It's balanced and has flavours of dusty with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - I have a glass of this in my hand. I have three bottles left and will wait at least a year before i open the next one. Better than i expected when i bought it.

very disappointing given some recent comments. Did see scattered comments echoing my experience. First off it had an enticing nose that led me to think it would be really good but it was almost flavorless, minimal fruit and absolutely no complexity. Extremely thin from beginning to end of meal (2 - 3 hours with wine decanted). Can't imagine it being past prime, possibly really closed or a dumb period, but can't seeing it get better. One more bottle, will wait 3 - 5 years. I love pinots and this was stored in underground cellar with adequate temp and humidity. This was not enjoyable.

This is really beautiful Oregon Pinot, delicious aroma of cloves and spice and cherry, light and balanced on the palate, not overbearing or heavy in any way. A very nice surprise.

Really good. Ruby Red, lots of red fruit notes, minerality and floral notes. Nice finish. Young, but in a very good spot. One of the best bottles from Oregon I have had in a few years.

Garnet in color. Red fruit, herbs and minerals on the nose. Delicate, Burgundian, balanced fruit, nice length. Drinking well now but likely still a little early in the drink window.

Cranberry, pomegranate and cedar flavors. Moderate acidity and somewhat tight, oaky finish. Wine was initially viscous and smooth on the palate but became thinner and more restrained with time in the decanter.

No improvement since I tasted this a year ago, unfortunately. I opened this because I was unimpressed initially with the '06, which actually blows the '08 away. This has a musty nose with tart and sour fruit flavors, no weight, and not very enjoyable.

The nose of this was was beautiful with aromas of raspberries, candied cherries, and some earthy notes. The palate was a bit of a let down though. Flavors of plum and tart cherry that only seemed to get tarter during the finish. The nose was by far the most enjoyable part of the wine for me - based of how it smelled, I expected this to taste much more like a Bergstrom Shea bottling instead of having all of the tartness that it did.

Creamy yet green nose with a cotton candy after it was open for a while. The flavor was a bit hot leading me to believe this could use a few years in the cellar. A little rubber in the flavor profile distracted me. Overall - definitely a GOOD wine... but I would rather pay more around $35 for this bottle. I could find better at the $54 price point.

E&R's Pinot Noir-egon Weekend; 4/24/2010-4/25/2010 (Portland, OR): Not a good showing of this... it seemed quite off balanced today. Nice palate which was mildly spicy, soft and fruity. The finish was really spicy and hot, though... just fairly boring overall. Not showing well today, but I do plan on giving this another try down the road, as I'm sure it will get out of this awkward phase.
