We drank this at home after Jan finished her last client’s tax return. It was light gold in color with a nice nose of oak and tree fruit like peach and lemon. Mid palate it was more oak with butter and hints of vanilla. It had good acidity and the elements were nicely balanced. The finish was mid length and very smooth. A very good Russian River Valley Chardonnay.

Received the 20th Anniversary box containing the 06, 07, 08 vintages. Performed a vertical tasting of them poolside Saturday afternoon/evening. My comparison of them was: 2006 – Most bright, tropical of the three. 2007 – The fuller, rounder wine. 2008 – Also bright but with more fresh acidity.

This was really good, but a really bad QPR in my opinion, it fit the bill with the fresh buttered corn on the cob we had, but it seemed a bit disjointed and perhaps young(?), still, it really tasted good and was enjoyable - Gold, full bodied with a nose of creamy peach, pear, butter, caramel and vanilla, a bit disjointed now, with the alcohol being quite prevalent, decent acidity, intense, sweet, smooth on the finish with very good length, nice, but we've had many better chards for much less money, a pass overall (88 Points).

NIce balance, great acidity, classic chard. Rich, opulent with interesting minerality mixed with vanilla and bright citrus/lemon. A lip smacker. Unfined and unfiltered.

Delicious. For a 2008, this chardonnay is holding up just fine. Still a few years to go easily.

I probably left this in the cellar a bit long, but it did not punish, it was excellent, especially after 30 minutes

One of my favorite Chardonnays, light oak with great fruit and perfect acidity. Hints of red apple and sweet lemon, an absolutely wonderful wine.

I liked this better than the Crossbarn, with a better range of flavor and structure.

More structured and less friendly on the palate than the 07. Maybe will soften with time.

Golden color. Nose: Toasted oak, hay, and vanilla. Palate: Pineapple, vanilla. Short finish until it opens, then nice bright acidity. Good food wine.

More restrained and rustic than the Kongsgaard, shorter. Still delicious. $56
