  • Cork and bottle were in great shape! PnP, but 30+ minutes slow ox in glass. Very old claret-like. Mild herbs and raspberry aromas. Medium bodied with distinctive raspberry and a little tar on the palate. This was in great shape but seemed more old Zin (19%) than old P.S.

Interestingly, most of the blind tasters thought this was an older Brunello. Only one said older Zin. no one identified this as a P.S.

  • Quite tarry and peppery/spicy, with black fruit. Still vibrant with sufficient acidity to hold it together though the tannin is softened. Tastes like more than 19% Zin now. 110 year old Petite and Zin from Teldeschi ranch.

  • Mark opened this at a chili & caroling party hosed by one of the couples in our monthly tasting group. Bright ruby to garnet in color. Loads of spicy red fruit notes on the nose. Very well balanced, with white pepper, baking spices and gorgeous red fruit flavors. Finishes well. 91-93 pts.
