not impressing when tasted short time after uncorking, but after few long hours it becomes Ok as Cote du Rhone, bit dry, some secondary aromas, med fruitiness, nice finish. Good as vin de table.

Nice garrigue and violet aromas. Medium weight on the palette, with a mostly smooth but lightly choppy texture. Very floral, with berries, herbs, and a bit of cedar flavor. Reminded me of a top of the line Cotes du Rhone.

I am a huge fan of Pegau CDP and tend to think Rhone table wines provide some of the best value in the world. But this is not Pegau CDP nor do I think this represents very good value for the price. Pretty thin on the palate without much complexity. Shortish on the finish. The one interesting element that emerged from this bottle after about an hour is a fair amount of animal hair/funk. While I tend to enjoy a little bit of this in a CDP, in a table wine without body, complexity, or finesse, it came off as more of a flaw. This is drinkable wine, but should not be confused with the real McCoy.

Beau fruit, bel équilibre. On retrouve la grenache mais dans une version plus retenue. Un cdp accessible. Un très bel accord avec les côtelettes de porc aux épices et à l'érable.

Decanted for 30 minutes & then had with grilled chciken. Very tasty. Did not take notes but I enjoyed the wine more than the last time. No degredation in this wine & nice garrigue notes to the nose & palate. 89+ and would buy again. [edit] Still going strong on night 2. Absent the screw cap, this wine would be interesting to follow over 5 years or so.

This has mellowed a bit, and is quite open straight from bottle. Good balance and juicy fruit withour much sense of place. Not modern, you can sense that this is a smaller wine from a talented winemaker. Good QPR.

Quick TN: Unscrewed and poured. Darker fruit and tighter/more closed than the previous bottle. This wine had a metallic/medicinal quality that the first bottle didn't have, as well as a shortish finish. Unchanged over two hours. Okay but nothing earth shattering.

Quick TN: unscrewed and poured. Fairly simple at first and kind of grapey on the nose. After 1/2 hour in the glass the wine developed some complexity - though lighter styled on the grenache spectrum it had some grilled meat/sausage and good acidity. Good QPR IMO. Nice pairing for tri-tip tacos.

Another one of those wines that just begs you to take another sip. Very clean and well made. What you notice on the nose, is exactly what you get across the palate. The flavor profile is pretty typical Old World, but the fruit is close to New world ripeness. Dark purple color. There is definitely the aroma of Grenache, but no doubt there are other varietals in the blend. Across the lips, the texture starts with that medium plus bodied, earthy Grenache feel, but gets a little more silky and deep as it descends. Plenty of dark cherry fruit, but we know it is French by some of those gamey, and peppery supporting flavors. Little or no influence from the lees, or oak. Nicely balanced acidity, and alcohol. The finish is a somewhat grainy black cherry with some leather and earth. Nice job.

nice. popped and poured. As it sat in the glass it really opened up. Reminiscent of a "baby CDP", there is good power and strength here, dark fruits plums and prunes, long finish with leather and spice, and earthy overtones. I saved some and look forward to day 2.

Unscrewed and poured. Dark, deep purple color. Typical Grenache aromatics with raspberry notes. This was a wonderful easy drinking "table" wine and it did its job as we finished the bottle quickly during our apps and dinner. I really love Rhone wines at this price point especially compared to many of the new world offerings that tend to be over oaked to make up for the mediocre fruit.

Faint resemblance to a CNDP on the nose, but much simpler. tastes different from a standard Cote du Rhone though. A bit shut down. Medium weight and finish. A bit too much acidity at the moment.
