Opened and poured....dark with deep orange to the rim. Sadly corked. Closed. There's some musty dusty blackberry zin on the nose, with corking masking much else. Neutral to bitter on the palate, woody, drying tannin with some fruit paste...dates, boysenberry. Corking may blow off after some air...will update. On day two + under vac-u-vin the corking was still there, but after a few minutes blew off and really fleshed out....fruit is sweeter, with blacks at the fore. Much better than the first day. If you can let the cork blow off, this is drinking fine.

Great zinfandel. A definite value for a $20 red.

Nice Zin. Nothing special. Drank over two days. Improved slightly by second day as body and intensity deepened some.

Drank with a deep dish pizza from Paxti's in Noe. From Raj "solid showing from a wine, held it's own against a thick deep dish."
