This one didn't seem to be quite as nice as the last. The house was hot so I let it sit in the decanter in the cellar for about an hour to open it. It put on weight as it opened and got better as the night went along but it never seemed to reach my expectations. I would have rather had two bottles of Seghesio Sonoma for the price.

This is duckhorn so I didn't want to like it. Turns out, this is really good stuff. Deep purple color, good fruit and very nicely layered. It's not jammy, has great structure and just enough spice on the finish. It's a questionable qpr @ $40. I would probably buy some Seghesio instead but I'm happy with my purchase. 5 left to drink over the next 24 months.

Think I'm missing something with this one. May have needed more time or a decanter. Fantastic color, concentrated nose, lacking on the palet. Sharp tannins overpowered the wine. Still a nice wine but was expecting more.
