Almost black in concentrated color. Plum with a hint of smoke and bacon. Palate has strong plum, Anise and a tinge of pleasant sourness. Finish is funky and lingering. Really a nice wine, probably peaking.

Inky dark purple with ripe cherry, blackberry nose. Dry tannins with some metallic mineral along with the tart fruit. Red plums with stone fruit tannins, medium fruit and body. On the PnP a little harsh, I will give some time to see where it goes with some open time. Marked improvement with the second glass, harsh elements gone. Nicely balanced with medium fruit and body and a nice acid component.

Black fruit, grilled bread, some caramel and vanilla aromas. Root beer essence. Palate is dark and brooding, med/- tannin. Big and full, very suave appeal to the palate.

I enjoy the Trust wines all around. They are very good, not quite excellent, but for the price are real contenders. This wine has some deep, dark fruits, pepper, a hint of green bell pepper, and will get better with some years in the cellar.

Decanted 30 min. This was an odd one. Prior tastings of this Syrah were outstanding, with lots of fruit and black pepper. This bottle seemed to be totally shut down, not really giving up much at all. We quickly grew tired of it and poured it back into the bottle. Tried it again the following night, and it had finally started to wake up. Blackberry and plum fruit along with that signature black pepper, although still a little on the shy side. Wondering if this is going through a dumb phase, or perhaps some sort of bottle variation? Purchased direct from winery, with great provenance and storage.

Nice but not distinctive. Velvety structure and pure fruit, easy to drink on its own, but without the underlying complexity that some other Washington Syrahs can achieve. For the price tag, I expected something more, but I did enjoy the bottle.

Blackberries, cherries, a touch of pepper, nice earthiness. Still a bit closed down, with a sour cherry finish. Hold for now.
