Holy crap, this is good! The nose is pretty austere initially but comes around as the wine is exposed to more air. The initial cheese rind aromas are still there but with a fresh red apple, strawberries, limes, and a light minerality. The palate is where this wine really shines, medium to full-bodied but with a medium-low intensity, beautiful balance and grace, those sweet delicious red apples are there with a red fruit characteristic lightly, long mid-palate length that releases to a mouth-watering acidity that builds over time, seconds after the wine is swallowed. The red fruit character I get on the palate reminds me of fresh, barely under-ripe strawberry. The length of the finish is very long and leaves lightly sweet fresh apple fruit in it's wake. The way the acidity on this wine evolves is amazing, coupled with the flavors makes for a truly amazing wine. The best WA state Riesling I have ever had, easily. Give this wine some air and time, it is better at cellar temp or slightly warmer, allowing it's somewhat subdued flavors to emerge and take hold. To cold and I am sure this might seem boring as many of the flavors are somewhat subtle.

The nose of this wine was just terrible. It smelled sour, and rank and not like something that I wanted to put in my mouth. I really enjoyed the reds at Rasa, but the Rieslings were definitely not my style, and at the price points that these are selling at, I would prefer to get a German instead.

Not sure if the wine did not age well or my palate changed, but I don't care for this after really enjoying it upon release in 2010.
Minimal acid and very sweet. Way too sweet for me. Some hints of fruit, but mostly sugary sweetness.

Full bodied spatelese type Reisling. Initial honey sweetness rounds out to a banana, pear finish. Well done!

PNP- floral notes, a little too much acid and lemon for me. Ok but not great

OCW4Poker XII - Wines of Washington (WCC - Irvine CA): Double-Blind; decent riesling but fairly simple, not much in the way of complexity but still enjoyable.
