Light to medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, with plenty of fruit flavors still evident. No overpowering or drying tannins. A nice wine for dinner with a grilled NY Strip.

Popped and poured this bottle tableside at Ruth’s Chris dinner. Drank along side a Novelty Hill 2007 Cabernet from Washington. Still dark in the glass with no notable bricking. Mild amount of sediment in the bottle. Dark fruits upfront with a mild Band-Aid scent on the bouquet. Nice dark fruits on the palette with a little bit of earth and an herbal quality.. tannins very soft, In a good place tonight. A good choice tonight to pair up with the excellent steaks we had.

This is in its sweet spot. The bouquet is a hint candied but driven by elegant black currant, new leather, and chocolate aromas. Rich, decadent, and resinous, the palate flows with a core of black fruit, melted tannins, and a whiff of sea breeze on the long finish. Sumptuous, shapely, and resolved. A complete and delicious wine. 92+

Still needs a good bit of air to open up. On the nose, candied cherry, raspberry. Full bodied, round tannins that have a very small hint of sweetness. Dark fruits in the front of the palate, with some herbal and tobacco notes on the back. Well integrated oak on the medium length finish.

Dark purple in the glass. Fairly volatile nose suggests alcohol, but there is also a good amount of black berry/fruit aromas. On the tongue the berry fruit jumps out, suggesting a New World take on Cabernet. However, the fruit does not blow me away. As the wine passes farther back there are some herbal and spice notes. A hint of sweetness on the side of the tongue. Some tobacco at the very back of the palate. Quite full-bodied. Tame tannins and moderate acids suggest that additional age on this wine may be of no benefit.

Pnp. Great nose. Tobacco leaf, black currant, eucalyptus, a touch of new leather, and cherry. Palate: More tart than I was expecting. Tart cherry, some acidity, tart black cherry cola. Coats the mouth some, but a little thinner than expected. The mid-palate showed some minerality and a loss of flavor, followed by a medium finish. Less tart cherry and more of a black cherry cola in following days. Days 2 and 3 were better, smoother. Time and some air rounded the edges and softened it a bit. Mouth-filling. Still some leather and black currant, and nicely layered. A very nice wine, but must admit I was hoping for a bit more. For the $ I've had better and more memorable Cabs / wines in general. Day 1: 87 pts. Day 3: 89-90 pts. Overall: 88-89 pts.

PnP. Cork had minimal seepage. Nose: black currant, cherry, fresh tobacco leaf, coffee and a hint of leather. Really nice aroma! Upon tasting, I first notice a great mouthfeel. This really coats the palate. More cherry/cherry cola with a nice long finish though the finish is not distinctive.

My style of Cabernet, ripe but not over ripe. Plum/cherry flavors not prune. The fruit is balanced with decent acid and oak notes in context to the fruit, enhancing not dominating. Good level of structural tannins and a long finish. At this point of time a nicely developed CS.

not sure if it just the bottle we were tasting or the label was wrongly put on this one. The wine is ok, has some nice flavor...a lot of plum. However it tasted big at the beginning but lacked the finish I would expect of any wine rated 90 plus. No big chocolate or cocoa...but rather just plum and then a lingering diluted wine taste. Again...could be the bottle that we opened....

Wonderful big cab. Full bodied with dark fruit, good tannins, subtle oak and smooth finish. If you are looking for a big but balanced cali cab this is it. Especially at this price point of 30-35$. I would say it drinks very similar to most Robert Craig wines in the 50-60$ range. Decanted 60min and it continued to get better, never falling apart after 2 hrs open. I have tried three bottles seperately and each time has been as good as I remembered. Will be purchasing a case soon.

Popped and poured. Initially very closed on the nose. Mix of cherry and blackberry with attractive chewy tannins. Had a lengthy finish with some lingering oak, but definitely not over-oaked. Acidity is there and this will age nicely for at least another 5 years. Very nice complexity and balance. After an hour the nose really opened up and the overall flavor profile improved significantly.

Third bottle of the evening with friends. This was definitely the best of the night. Great Cab for $35. Big, complex, dark fruits, adequate tannins and a smooth, long finish. Delicious!

Opened and decanted; then followed over 5 hour period. Nose of fruit, herbs and a bit of VA. There is an herbal (basil/mint) underneath the fruit. A green vegetable component that suggests cabernet franc.

Very impressive nose of black fruit, cassis and some spice. Nice palate. Medium to full bodied and a long finish. Really nice wine and drinking well. Looking forward to trying some more of the 07s.

Big, big cab. Improves with air, and initial nose and taste will knock you out. Very enjoyable, with hidden complexities throughout the whole bottle. Completely overshadowed a filet (w/béarnaise). Loved this wine, and excited to see how it fairs in the long haul.
