Good for 3 nights. Best the second, but good all three. Smooth black berry flavors. Back palate tannins even on the third night. Tasty wine though not a lot of depth. Perfectly drinkable still if stored properly.

Black fruit is still first chair. Assigns spice and dusty tannins play a good part of the flavor profile. Not the most complex wine I have ever had, but still enjoyable to drink. This is getting near the end of the drinking window.

Tasted blind. Bright ruby red color turning crimson at the rim with a transparent edge. It has an attractive nose of earth, smoke, black and red currants, tobacco, and meat. The palate is full-bodied but displays a delicate balance and texture. The aforementioned flavors are consistent all throughout. Finishes with nice, fleshy, refined tannin with a hint of spice. Drink now until 2023. 90+

Ruby red with aromas of red berries and herbs. It was light bodied, a little tart and on the palate it had flavors of strawberries. The finish was lingering and warm. It is better with food to mellow it out.

I've seen this for $9 to $10 in the Midwest and double that on the East Coast--not entirely unusual for many of the low end wines imported by Eric Solomon or Jorge Ordonez. Though I'm not entirely sure why. This cuvee is surprisingly tight and closed with aggressive, youthful, tannins. After a few hours it starts to come around with aromas of sour cherries, blackberry, chocolate, alcohol, and banana? However, aggressive, drying tannins and abrasive acidity plague the taste. Whole cluster? Seems like a lot of seed and stem. Inoculated yeasts? Some estery qualities? It's not entirely bad news, but it's hard to be too positive. I've tried three bottles in as many months and none were all that interesting. Maybe another year? One definitely gets the impression that the underlying fruit is of superior quality. I think this is a wine to watch and taste frequently. I've begged for this producer to come out with a wine in this price point and in this style. Unfortunately, I may have been terribly wrong. But this could easily turn round.

Tempranillo, Cab and Merlot blend aged for 12 months in 2 years old French oak. I wish I had left this bottle down for 5 more years, as the fruit flavor felt still undeveloped. Decanted for 2 hours. Blackberry, spices and cedar on the nose. Minerally driven palate with harsh tannins, dark fruit and lingering finish (retail $19.99).

Took quite a while to open up. Decant or pour a glass and let it sit. Very close to pouring this one down the drain. Initially weak nose, very sour, flat, and little that was interesting. Tried it again 45 minutes later and this was an entirely different wine. Nice mouth feel, pleasant mineral notes, spices, some black fruits, modest complexity. I may buy another and lay it down for several years just out of curiosity.

This wine has never been able to match what I experienced at the tasting. Again, it takes forever to open up, a luxury that I often don't have during the weekdays. But when it does, it is very good. That being said, I will not be buying any more.

Good RdD. Poured through Vinturi into decanter, then it sat for about an hour prior to serving. Nice intensity of flavor, medium finish. I would buy this again.

Quite nice, although very young -- big nose of spice, oak, black fruit, and a hint of leather. The palate was quite rich with firm tannins; black fruit with a touch of chocolate on the finish.
Having just tasted through some older Riberas, my sense is that this wine could stand a few years laying down before it expresses itself fully. That said, the price is right for a wine that will pair with food or stand on its own. Well done.

very nice fruit but it seemed that it is still a bit too young. the acidity, tanins and fruit seems not perfectly balanced/integrated yet, will keep the remaining bottles for another year or so...

Took a little too long to open up...I served to my guests just after opening the bottle. Thought it would pair well with sausages that had just come off the grill. I was expecting the opulence, smoke and spice I experienced during the tasting. Some of it was there, but just too subdued. Regardless, it was tasty to my guests, but I knew this wine was capable of more. I will decant my remaining bottle for at least 20-30 minutes before trying.

Tried at tasting. It seemed that for everyone at the store, this was the wine of the night. Amazing nose of incense and spice rack. Rich, fruity, opulent...just a delicious, great value wine. Can't wait to try one of my bottles.

The youngest creation of the Villacreces winery, a blend of 90 percent Tempranillo and 10 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, with a 12 months’ barrel maturation. Young red purple color and a rather weak nose with some scents of blueberries and herbal tones. The palate reveals a lighter-bodied wine, drinkable yet not very complex. Too sour with green, rough tannins. Astringent finish. I have serious doubts whether this will become more harmonious with bottle age. One would expect a bit more from a leading winery as Villacreces. Not really recommendable.
