Similar experience as last time although I'm rating the wine substantially lower. When first opened it seems it's age got the best of it. With some breathing it does come around to show some licorice and overripe fruit. Also shows some vegetal and herbal notes. Chalky, grippy tannins. The lower score is probably due to more experience and being more conservative with my scores than I use to be. If you have this wine, probably time to give it a go.

Tight nose after opening but it opened up quickly with some barnyard notes. I wasn't able to spend much time thinking about this wine but it showed good complexity and balance. I can easily give it 90 points but I may have gone higher if I had time to critique it more.

No notes taken. After a 3 hr decant she seemed ready for prime time. Decent weight and still fruit but somewhat tight still. Not a hundy bottle, but ok for the price paid. 87 pts. Drink now or in a few yrs. Decent foodie wine.

Very dark purple in color and shows a very nice, fruity nose of violet and plum with a hint of alcohol. This is full-bodied and offers a very plush mouthfeel - similar to Amerone. Lots of plum fruit on the front and mid-palate, ending with a medium finish. Very, very dry but fruity enough to be satisfying. A bit one-dimensional, but at this price point ($16) it delivers decent value. 50+5+12+13+8=88
Decanted 40 mins. Merlot/Sang blend. Plum, blackberry, boysenberry, and leather. Still indeed tight. I'll try to wait 1 yr before popping the other bottle. 88 pts. An ok value at $26 (from $100) for 1.5 ltr.

Explosive nose of oak, black fruit, and dusty rose accented with fresh cut flowers. Palate is replete with toasted vanilla oak, raspberry, asian spices and strawberry. Soft tannin and acidity linger on the finish like a bite of red delicious apple. A great St. Emilion knockoff. Nice wine, very nice.

Wow, blockbuster SuperT flavors explode in the nose and on the palate with earthy, dusty and bright blackberry, black currant and saddle leather. Could be blind-tasted for a big Bulgari Superiore, and at this price point it's a stunning effort. Tannins are very prominent, but sweet in the mouth, and the finish just goes on and on. Needs a decant or a day de-corked in the bottle to emerge, but when it does, it's stunning.

Good concentrated dark fruit with adequate amount of oak and a touch of barnyard is delicious.

Ok. I'd say pretty good if it were wedding wine...but nit really worth it for around ten dollars.
