  • Just fantastic again. Dense rich tropical fruits, honey, botrytis. But the acidity just balances it all out. Not heavy or too much. Very nice finish.

  • Top Moelleux Vouvray in the glass here. Sour plum, candied sugar, tobacco, oak spice, grapey. Searing acidity buffering the sweetness. Wonderful.

  • My first of these, which had been purchased from M. Foreau. Quite sweet, delicious fruit, very good acidity. Nice to drink now but obviously a long evolution ahead of it.

  • Très joli vin qui se boit déjà très bien.
Gagnera tout de même à attendre quelques années pour un peu plus de complxité.

  • Amber to wet straw color. Intense. Bruised pear and syrupy nose. Medium to heavy body on the palate. Dessert wine flavor of sweet fruit, mango. Finish super pleasurable with all the finer qualities legging out.

Difícil harmonizar devido a doçura atual. Melhor apenas contemplá-lo.

  • Really enjoyed this. Fresh, clean, good balance of sweetness and acidity. Another great reason to explore the Loire.

  • - Yellow brown color with slow forming legs and aromas of apple and honey. It's balanced and has flavours of peach and honey with a light/medium body. Round texture with a long finish - Very young. Loaded with young fruit and big nose. Lots of sweetness now. Saved 1/4 bottle to see how it evolves. Very Sauternes like, crisp apple and honey notes. Deep, rich caramel color. Hold 8-10 years.

  • This developed very nicely over the course of several nights. Initially, very juicy ripe red apple, honey and acidity. Youthful. After a few days, there is more tropical fruit, subtlely and refreshing sweetness. I would recommend holding these for several years. That youthful exuberance is perfectly good and the wine is very good. However, it seemed to take on complexity and sophistication over the several days it was open. This should age well for decades.

  • New to this producer. On day one, this wine moves like a Sauternes in the glass. The nose is all honey and apricot, as is the thick, sticky palate. It was warmer than I intended so on to day two. Ahh..the nose is intoxicating with pineapple, honey, white flowers, nutmeg, apricot, followed by a cristaline palate with just enough acidity to make it clean. Still on the sweet side but I expected that. Better colder as it returns to the Sauternes like wine when it warms. On day three the wine has not changed at all. Delicious, long and complex just a bit too sweet. In several years this wine should be epic. Glad I bought more.

  • Starting the New Year right (Columbus Berserkers offline #3) (Chris P's): Wow. Lovely aromatics of honey and concentrated stone fruit juice. Despite the lack of numerous descriptors, what's there is so pure and pleasant I could smell it for hours. The palate matches with honey & stone fruit juice. Again pure and lovely. Some found it a bit sweet but I thought it had good acidity to add structure & balance. This should age for decades.

  • Medium-light golden color. Powerful nose, pineapple, honey, lemon zest, nutmeg. Fairly good balance of golden fruit, lemon, honey and bracing acidity. Maybe just a touch too sweet in terms of the balance today, though not cloying. Full mouth feel, and nice minerality between layers of sweetness and spice on the long finish.

At this stage, head to head, the 2005 is the winner for me. While the 2009 is more powerful, it lacks the complexity and uniqueness of the '05. That said, if I were looking for a ringer in a sauternes or reisling tasting, this would confuse the heck out of most folks - and who knows, maybe once the baby fat is resolved this will come in to its own.
