Lovely bright Rhone style, raspberry, smoked cherry, expressive and fresh throughout. This wine is no longer made by Four Vines. 2009 vintage is from same winemaker but company is called Freakshow or Cypher and blend is different. Hope it comes out similar.

This delightful Rhone blend showed good balance and stood its ground with grilled food showing plum and black fruit up front with a healthy palate cleansing acidic finish.

The wine was very nice. We drank it with a Crab Cake dinner. As we finished the last of it, there was a herbaceous aftertaste. The bottle as a whole was good and earthy but smooth.

Dark purple color. Incredibly expressive nose of black cherry, plum, spice, floral notes, and tobacco. The palate is packed with ripe black cherry, plum, earth, and spice. Structurally, this medium-bodied wine has balanced acidity and rounded tannins. The finish is long and packed with great fruit. Overall, this is a hedonistic wine that showcases ripe fruit but does not over reach, even at 15.2% alcohol.

An outstanding wine! It is a great blend with well developed fruit. It doesn't have any bitter tannins and drinks very smooth!!! It is a slightly lighter color of red, not as deep dark as some full bodied reds. It drinks very nicely!

Amazingly rich and fruity wine. Primarily red fruits on the front of the palate, but then others pop up, like cranberry and strawberry, and the wine develops more fully. Then somewhere along the way the tannins and oak and a bit of smokiness develops subtlety in the background. I have another couple of bottles and looking forward to them.
1/8/12 Wow, my notes could barely have been more different this time. Tartness and muddled fruits at first, then just raw tannin and acid. It didn't taste corked to me, but must have been a bad bottle. Let's see what the final one brings.
3/17/13. Sadly, this bottle was like the second one, not the first one.

Amazing. Rich and powerful, yet complex and varied. Incredibly fresh red berry fruits leap off the front of the palate, bright and lively. Good acidity offsets the full body. Beneath the surface is a pot of smoldering darker fruits, fig and date and dark berries, and a marked smokiness. Absolutely has the hallmark of Paso Robles Rhone-styled wines. Tannins are burly but not unruly, lending great structure. This impressive beast hits all the right notes.

Very fruit forward with strawberry and boysenberry, plus some hints of floral. Nose of dark fruit with a little spice. Very good

Hedonistic is the name of the game with this wine. Wonderful nose and powerful flavors of dark cherry. Quite enjoyable!

Rich GSM blend. Has a real Napa depth to it... but from central Cal. Wonderful finish. Actually reminds me of a Zin.
