Wonderful right now. Fruit is there with the spicy notes from the Syrah. The cab shines through with the structure, tannins, and dark fruit with hints of chocolate. Also with a lovely finish. Really enjoyed this wine with friends. Glad I have several more.

It has been almost 5 years to the day that I last tried a bottle and it has slipped a little. There was still the plums, mushrooms, earth and leather on the palate but the flavors were starting to become muted. Was not as vibrant as it was. Still a nice wine. Served with selection of sausages off the grill (pork, seafood and alligator) and it did pair well.

Really nice wine. Opened up after some time in the glass and revealed a full expression of fruit along with good tannins. Seems like could last a couple more years.

PnP, but this wine needs some air, so used the Vinturi to pour each glass, and swirled a lot. Good bit of dark red fruits on the nose, along with a bit of funk which blows off with air. Lots of dark red fruits on the palate, with some earth and some spice, wrapped in juicy/balancing acidity, with a touch of tannin on the finish. A serious wine, with several years of life ahead of it.
So like this wine is warm. I don't mean temperature, I mean big, soft, leathery heat in the mouth. Very nice. Reminded me of chewing on a baseball glove, standing in the outfield, 10 years old waiting for someone to hit it out of the infield. But not French, although it was Montreal, so think Rawlings. Really quite nice.

A complex blend of Syrah, Cab, Merlot, Viognier and Sangiovese. White pepper and cherry nose. Lots of ripe dark fruit and the tannins have softened with age from my first bottle. Long lasting finish. Highly enjoyable wine.

Big, bold, interesting, layered, compelling, structured and excellent. Between the Syrah and the Cabernet (a unique and interesting blend you don't see much) you get all the fruit -- red, blue and black. Oak and tannin integrate nicely with the fruit. Finish lasts 30-45 seconds. Really nice. Lots of life left here. Guessing it's probably another year or two from its peak. Then great for a decade. This wine surprised me.

Dark purple almost black in the glass. Teeth staining purple, this wine is a huge but well made fruit bomb. Dark blackberry fruits, tobacco, and heavily oaked, with pretty serious tannins. Not really my style most days, but sometimes you want something big. 15.2% abv.

Red Blends on a Saturday afternoon (Loretta Paganini School of Cooking): Well, this has really developed well. The nose is deep; earthy with tea, cola and black raspberries. On the palate, let complex but layers of earth and black raspberries. Juicy acidity. This is still on the youthful side but showing lots of development. Quite good.

Spicy, meaty nose. Well judged amount of oak. It's there but not intrusive at all. Ripe fruit. Plum. Blackberry and black cherry. Tannins are still firm and a little coarse but the wine is already approachable. Bitter chocolate on the finish. Chocolate and a bit of tobacco comes out after a while. Quite nice.

Seven days after opening (finally) beginning to fade. Nose has developed very attractive YUZU or orange rind aromas. Taste has developed, rounded, mature fruit towards raspberry jam in a most subtle way. This is one strong-lived wine. I regret having opened it many years too early.

Non-Blind. Decanted 4 hrs. (My cooking a 4-course Tuesday dinner.) Impression: Outstanding with WOW! Blackish, dark red with purple tones. Nose is a somewhat subdued peppery, anise seed Aussie Shiraz. Still L-size. On the palate this is a full bodied experience that went better with food than on its own. Enters with almost no noise, has a mid-palate that is beginning to show off some mature aromas but is still *harsh* and finishing off with a combo of hard acids and hard tannins. There is some dark fruit evident, but not. Feels booth immature and generic. A slight 'fail', IMHO because of the tannins. This wine has the "wrong" kind of tannins, the bitter (stemmy) kind that only works as long as the fruit can hide them or the food is strong enough. Ok QPR. Will probably greatly benefit from keeping some more years.

Deep purple in color. Very aromatic with tart fruit. Full bodied and rich with great depth of flavor and mouthfeel. Dark fruit, a meaty quality and a touch of orange peel. I agree, not as good as the 2005 version of this wine at this time. Have enough to try a bottle each of the next 5 years.

Ripe nose of dark fruits and pepper. Some earthiness on the palate too. Quite full and lush. Moderate tannins and low-moderate acidity. Quite concentrated and could have used a good decant. Big and fleshy with good concentration and length. Had above average complexity and some definite elegance. My only real issue is the heat... Too much alcohol for me. Moving from our traditional Prime Rib New Year's Dinner to the first Beef Fondue in about twenty years, called for a special wine so I bought the Todos on the recommendation of Robert Parker. Another OMG wine! Highly saturated with crimson, ruby and black chocolate. Aromas of blacks, reds, spice, coffee bean, mocha, earth, oak, amazing. Concentrated with chunky tannins and balanced acidity. This finish is long and memorable. This wine is a beauty and over delivers for the price. A mouthful of complex gestures hinting at insanity as the brutal tannins pound down the heavy fruit. Age worth but I'd drink it now.
