Best after about 2 hours breathing (open bottle). Very juicy, light tannins, nicely integrated wood. Perfectly balanced this time, therefore 87 points.

It's a cheap wine, no question, but what I like about it it has a little bite combined with sweetness. Sullivan described it nicely with "cranberry". Nice to drink on a summer evening in the garden or for a party.

Clear ruby red, medium color Moderate intensity youthful aroma of dark red fruits Dry, light body cabernet sauvignon, nice acidity, medium tannin level The fruit on the palate does not live up the nose, hollow mid palate with a medium length spicy finish. This was a Xmas gift that seemed ripe for a re-gift but was surprised by it. Nice for the price around here. EDIT: after a little bit of airtime this showed it's true colors. The nose was still decent but the palate became a hot disjointed mess. Decent if you quaff it I guess. 85 for a quaff, 80 thereafter.

The smell makes you believe that this wine will be dry and acidic. I could smell a slight hint of a wood sent as well. Taste is very smooth and not dry as the sent indicates. This is also more sweet then I assumed it would be. Overall an easy wine to drink. Probably one that I would buy and have again even though it wasn't as dry as I would like.

Not expecting a whole lot from a $6 bottle of Washington Cab, so I can say I wasn't disappointed. A little thin, a little too tannic, but it beats a can of Rainier...maybe.

A might tannic, but some good character. Agree with other reviewer - scents of cranberry

Ok, but there's this side taste that I have a hard time to describe. "medical" would be closest, I guess. Would not buy again.

Very dark fruit driven Cabernet, little wood and tannins, smooth texture. Not very complex, but a tasty, very fruity wine.

Very soft palate with a sweet, almost medicinal finish. Heavy on the cherry notes. Not fabulous but cannot complain given the low price.

Not great...very tannic. Not at all smooth. Surprised me for a cab...which I normally love.

Since I had bottles of both vintages on hand, thought I'd do a direct comparison between the 2008 vs. the 2007
After decanting for @ 1 hour:
Nose was not quite as complex with noticeably less vanilla and a little more vegetable (mostly celery)
Taste was a little more tannic than '07, with less mocha, but still lots of cherry. Finish is short with mild amounts of cherry.
Overall, not quite as good as the 2007, but still better than average for the price range.
