Not getting any petrol from this one. Lusciously sweet as the acid fades. One of the great bargains, but it's beginning to lose its balance, time to drink up.

Wow, a tasty Riesling. Deep gold color with a peppery nose of petrol, nectarines, apricots. Off dry for a Kabinett, the wine is nicely aged and the acidity is balanced with the fruit.

Greenish yellow color. Loads of petrol and rubber tire on the nose, along with flinty, stony nuances, lime, and grapefruit. Medium body and lightly off-dry, with some zippy, effervescent acids on the attack, a medium(+) honeyed finish, and flavors of honeydew melon, cantaloup, lemon lime soda, honey, peach, and minerals. A pretty enjoyable bottle at 10 years for $15 paid. Having it with kielbasa and peppers tonight, but would be great with sushi, raw bar, or spicy Thai food.

Heady petrol, peach, and lemon, this screams 'Mosel'! Delightful tension in the mineral/acid edge and the generous floral scented fruit. The 'Urzig' (spice) does show up in the form some sweet baking spice, but it's subtle and charming. Hard to keep your hands off this one and at 7.5% alcohol,, why not? Potential improvement, but peak drinking.

This stuff is just Delicious and complex. For $22 it has the flinty notes with petrol hints and a good dose of acidity to balance the subtle sweetness of this. In a good spot but suspect it could get a little better over the years but why wait?

Nose: Honey, terpenes, lime, thyme(?), and guava. Palate: All encompassing honey and stone fruits with plenty of terpene/petrol essence. Acidity makes you want to keep drinking. Peach sherbet on the finish. Excellent paired with spicy lamb curry.

A tad of petrol up top, then honeyed stone fruit, white peach and apricot, with tropical notes, mango and pineapple, and baking spice, with plenty of acidity to balance the sweetness and the fruit. Seems almost as sweet as some spätleses: 2009 was a sunny ripe year, and Prum stopped the fermentation at 7.5% alcohol.

Nose has tropical fruit notes with a hint of oiliness (or petrol, as others would say). Light gold in color. Easy drinking on the palate with great balance of sweetness and acidity. I drank the whole bottle all by myself during the "Big Game". Matched well with Publix hot and spicy wings.

Pnp, well balanced. The nose is floral, minerality, and Yuzu skin. On the palate, the sweetness and acidity are well balanced. A bit of bubbles puts more refreshing taste, and makes it to become more approachable. At this price range (10~15), this is a great choice from Mosel. The character of Mosel, purity and clarity, are shining in this one.

One of the most delicious mosel wines I've had recently. (Next day: bought six more from Chicago for Golde @ $17. Really versatile: you could serve it with a fish course or with a not too sticky-sweet dessert.)

This has a very very light hay colour in appearance; the nose is composed of wet mineral stone with some light peaches and hints of lime. The palate's getting some white peach with some of the minerality in the background; some hints of lychees are detected too. Drinking pretty well for a pop and pour and has a pretty nice finish to accompany it. An amazing bargain of a bottle.

Lacking the acidity to back up the syrupy sweetness, especially off-putting at the kabinett level. For the lastbottle price of around $15, this certainly is not a disaster, and decent to have around when something unfussy is needed as an aperitif or to go with spicy fare, but all these 90+ scores are ludicrous.

light straw in the glass. Has an aroma of orange peel, glycerin, peach, and grass. I can't decide if the flavors are more sweet pineapple, or tart apple with a hint of pear. The finish brings in some minerals and a tartness.
This is a fun wine and it went very well with dinner, but I'm gonna give it a slightly lower score than others may because I don't think the flavors are really working together right now. I have 4 more bottles and I'm going to give them a little bit of time and I know I can't go wrong.
