Best bottle yet. Took two hours to really get going but such a smooth experience. Everything in balance. Length pretty incredible - well over a minute.

Very subtle wine. Smooth but fruit has faded a bit. I would pair this carefully as robust servings could overwhelm the wine at this point. I agree with the drinking window and would consume over the next year or two.

Fairly translucent ruby with orange rim. Nose of dusty cocoa, prunes, black maraschino cherry, licorice. Palate of prune, cocoa, grapefruit and soy sauce (or maybe fermented blood orange?), tannins are grippy but refined (80 grit), medium acidity.

I selected this wine based on recent reviews. My experience was consistent with what has been posted. This is an excellent wine. Very smooth with excellent fruit. Not sweet or hot. Highly recommended for current consumption.

Tasted vis-a-vis the normal cuvee from St. Prefert, this is a cut above. While still very concentrated, it is more elegant, has a good lift to it, plenty of local feel, tannins still here, this could go on. Yet the mature fruit makes it a real joy to drink now. 93 #cellarinventory

CB Wine Night #16 - CT92 up + 10 reviews + 2013 & Older!: Nice - drank older than a 2009. Black fruits, red fruits, garrigue notes, herbs, raisins. Most of its fats have been shed. Enjoyed this! Open now

Ten year CdP and Bordeaux retro tasting (with ringers). Hosted by Grinner.
CdP Flight One - Wine Four:
A standout! Prototypical aged CdP, and the first of the tasting that featured savory, while still delivering richness. The bouquet and profile featured meatiness, iodine, salinity, weathered clay, and noteworthy mineral edginess, along with dried desert fruits and garrigue. Commanding presence, firm, intense, and balanced! It packs the substance to age for several more years, but there is no reason not to enjoy now.

Weekly tasting group #202; C9duP 2009 (@ VD): Beautiful bouquet with red fruits, currants, beautiful garrigue and some cocoa. On the palate red berry fruits, cherries as well, a lot of garrigue, some chocolate, beautiful and juicy acidity and mild tannin with still a pleasant bite. Overall a really beautiful, refined and elegant wine in its young maturity stage. No problem enjoying this until the early 2020’s. 93 – 94 for this evening.

A beautiful expression of sweet, ripe, kirsch, juicy fresh, black berries, thyme and voluptuous textures. The wine has richness, ripe fruits and a lively, fresh character giving it vibrancy.

Opened up 3 hours in advance of drinking. This wine is practically transparent in color yet on the nose this wine jumps out of the glass revealing tons of red berried fruit, kirsch, licorice and herbs which follow through on the lively palate with a floral and lingering white pepper finish. This is a delicious glass of a well made modern CdP.

Quite light colour. Decanted and was surprised to find no sediment in the bottle. However the taste was not light. A good concentrated wine which has lost its primary fruit and still has a strong structure.

Good CDP but not as great as I was hoping for for $60. Full disclosure, I asked the store clerk which CDP would be the best pop and pour and he said this one. I would say that the wine had only 5-10 mins in the glass prior to consuming and perhaps this would have benefited from more air.

Tasted blind and easily identified as a young chateauneuf from a good vintage but didnt nail down either colombis nor the vintage. You might call this "very berry" incredible smooth red and blue berries. Little minerals but good overall structure with a nice lenght but still a bit short of the Alban seymours 2006 next to it. But im thinking of Colombis of probably the most underhyped of the great new CdP...

By the first sniff of this exquisit effort you can tell you are approaching meticulous winemaking. The nose is full of sun-warm strawberries, dark fruit and subtle lovely oak, while the palate is medium-bodied yet lush and rather flirty. However, the most striking feature of this effort is its purity of dark Grenache fruit. The wine is indeed young, but still it appears to me as very well-balanced with only a slight whiff of heat. There is no reason to hold off on drinking this effort today, but I guess it will benefit from a few years of cellaring. (score is 93-94)

decanted 5 hours. another solid showing. great chateauneuf to drink young waiting for the heavier ones to age. strawberry, red fruits. smooth, probably develop a bit over 5 years but great now for exactly what it is.

Partook in 3 bottles during a group dinner at Gotham Bar and Grill. Wine was decanted which aided wine as initial tightness (I tasted the initial pour from each) gives way to soft well rounded palate. Agree with review below, a feminine wine showing a bit of Pinot characteristic and nice strawberry notes. Worked very well for group as there were a wide range of both appetizer and entree selections and this could work with all of them.

This presents with overt licorice and some evidence of whole-cluster fermentation. I don't know if this was done, but the spicy scrub-brush garrigue notes here are deep and baroque. The smell of stem is evident within the herb melange, as are the juicy currant and raspberry notes. On the palate, this 100% Grenache from 60-year-old vines sings with marasca cherry, raspberry and flashy cranberry, all layered on top of juicy filet mignon and warm leather notes. This is the essence of Provence. Period.

WCC Grenache Blind (Fort Orange Club, Albany, NY): Complex and spicy, but that thick gunkiness makes it less appealing. Still, in 5-10, could be excellent.
