A really wild aroma with all sorts of tropical fruits, some minerality, mango and pineapple on the palate plus sugar but ultimately this doesn't have the proper acidity to achieve balance.

- Light gold color - Very nice Pinot Gris. More intense flavors and aromas than the Wy'east '09 Pinot Gris which Peter made for their winery from their vineyard. Both wines are very good, but this one was just more concentrated in all phases.

Fresh nose of apple, pear, and honeydew melon. I found it really fragrant for a pinot gris. Similarly, the palette, while staying relatively neutral and party-friendly, had fleshy honeydew melon and crisp apple.

Sineann wines and whole bunch of other stuff (Our home): We opened two bottles of this vintage. One of mine and one from Peter. Not sure which I had, but while I liked this, I liked the 2010 a bit more. It had more excitement to it. This is still young and drinking well, as I would expect, but seemed to lack the intensity of the 2010.

Soft and easy, very Gris like, wish it was tighter, wish the finish was longer, but I guess I can live with it. Has all the typical flaws of Oregon Gris. Fine at $17.

Honey and lemon rind and almonds, oh my. Nice balance with the oak and the acidity being supporting rather than assertive. One of the better pinot gris I've had.

Pale to medium color. Beautiful nose of honeysuckle, pear, some grapefruit. Similar on the palate with good acidity and minerality. Really lovely Pinot Gris.

A couple of 2009 Whites from Sineann: Pale silvery gold in color, clear and bright. This took some air to open and was better on Day 2. Considering it has a glass cork, I will open my other bottles in advancce or decant despite being a simple PG. The nose is mostly about minerals and earthiness. A bit of grapefruit and more fruit emerged on Day 2. Well balanced. Dry. Went well with food. Very refreshing with a long finish. At $18 an excellent QPR.

Big fruit with Hawaii notes of mango and pineapple. Ultimately would benefit from more acid to bring the whole thing together.

Medium gold. Nose: lemon cream, minerals. Taste: moderate body, crisp, very concentrated, quince, papaya, minerals. Very long finish. Quite tasty.

Yellow color; pithy nose, some bright fruit but strong bitterness, melon rind, quince, and what almost seems like minerality.

Excellent wine for the money. I got grapefruit, lemon and honey. Good balance of fruit, acidity and sweetness. Did not score but probably 89-91.

Pears. Apples. Lemon rinds. Nice weight. Palate coating. Very smooth and satisfying. Cleansing acidity.
