  • (Blind tasting)
Fullish, deep nose. Very spicy. Black and red fruit. Exotic spices. Iron minerality, dill, herbs and perfume. Toast, flowers and raspberry. Gets more and more complex with time in glass. Splendid nose!
Medium-fullish palate. Very good concentration and length. Forest floor, iron minerality, oak and raspberry. But also dark fruit. Dense, intense and long. Only detraction is a touch tart finish (the vintage).
Fully ready. Drink now or in five years.

  • Revisiting a favourite of mine, tight nose, cherries, spices, tree bark, opened up after about an hour, very pretty yet restrained, not as good as my last bottle, could be in awkward phase

  • Again, among the finest Les Fuées I have had the pleasure to drink.
My sixth bottle of this truly amazing wine.
Somewhat more closed than previous (in a bit of a phase or "tunnel" perhaps?)
Still, an unmistakable nose that you simply can't go wrong on if you had this wine before.
The pine needles and lovely wild and green herbs along with the dusty minerals and red airy flowers are as present as ever.
The palate a bit more closed down than back in 2016, less peacock tail, but still extremely sexy and complex.
A cooler vintage with airy and perfumed red strawberries, wild strawberries, lovely minerals and spices.
Superb length, silky still very balanced with power and acidity.
With time some first signs of tertiary maturity shows, some wet leaf's, tobacco and tea.
433 bottles made, I have had the pleasurer to drink 6 of these, and I feel so lucky to still have a few more tucked away.
    Next bottle in 2025?
Such a great and sexy Chambolle this is!

  • Revisiting one of my favorite wines of 2018, CNY reunion dinner, such a delightful nose, so much nuances, red ripe cherries, floral, savoury, spices, beautiful Burg, so refined on the palate, very zen like balance, drank with the 00 Rayas & this Perrot Fuees was better imho

  • What a great wine. Medium to dark red in the glass and crystal clear. Red fruits (especially strawberries) and mushrooms. Crisp and fresh. So smooth. Good acidity. Very pure. A delight. Drank with Kelvin

  • Plot next to Bonnes Mares, what a fantastic nose, cherries & loam, tea leaves & black olives, one of the best Burg nose I’ve had in a while - Grand Cru level, in the mouth very good depth, this is still relatively young, very classy, sneaky long & easily 95 points with more age, bravo! My find of the year!

  • Fantastic Chambolle nose, perfumed and intense, on the nose alone, 95 pts! On the palate, this is in semi-shutdown stage, fruits receded showing bright acidity, firm and spicy tannins on mid-palate, some oaks lingering at backend yet to be integrated. Wide spectrum of flavor with good length. Another 3 to 5 years, this maybe spectacular. At the moment, better on the nose than on the palate. Tiny production of only 433 bottles and only one left in the cellar. 92-95 pts.

  • Could not stay away from opening yet another bottle from my cellar.
    This is just too good!
So sexy, the nose is to die for.
Pine needles, pine resin, flowers, clean and airy sheets.
    Tremendous & glorious wine.
This is all about finesse and transparency.
    This is all about Chambolle.
For deeper analyzes, see my previous notes.
    This is simply superb!

  • Det här gillar jag verkligen!
Underbar doft av rosenträdgård, hallon, solmogna jordgubbar och massor av mineral. Otroligt balanserat, elegant, silkigt, rent och tydligt vin med otroligt lång och fin eftersmak.

  • I love this wine!
This is such a fine Chambolle.
Been a while since last bottle, and this is just as fine, actually perhaps even better, as I remember.
2008 is again displaying its greatness, as it now comes around the bend, and starting to show its true colors.
This wine has an amazing and complex Chambolle nose, with the most beautiful and sexy clean perfume.
Spicy stems showing on the nose , oozing of lovely minerals, and at the same time being airy and light, with wild flowers, lovely wild strawberries and sweet raspberries.
Palate is no less good, amazingly transparent and clean, with lovely fruit, depth, yet lightness, silky and long, with such an utterly fine minerallity, perfect acidity and almost Grand Cru Musigny overall balance.
A symphony orchestra of scents and taste, peacock tail opens up with multiple layers of complex impressions.
    Pure sex!
This is a great Chambolle, that has it all, actually the pure essence of 1:er Cru C-M.

  • Gorgeous nose. Perfumed, sweet, and intense. Notes of rose petal, wet earth, spicy stem, and toasty oak. Sweet and smooth on entry, even better balance than Faiveley Les Fuees 08' tasted alongside, little hard edges. Low acidity level atypical of this vintage. Label indicated 13% alcohol with no trace of it. However, this does not have the length of Faiveley on the first day. Interestingly, this puts on more weight on 2nd day with better balance than Faiveley, seems to have softer and round tannins throughout. Edges out Faiveley Fuees but more costly too. Tiny production of 433 bottles and 3 magnums. 92-94 pts.

  • Consistent with my previous note.
I really like this wine allot!
It’s very complex, still straight forward and so well composed.
    A beauty!
Had it blind together with Mugnier – 06 and Jadot 05 from the same vineyard, and this was clearly the best of the three to me.

  • What a great bottle of Chambolle!
    A truly great wine!
The fruit is so clean and nice, with great minerals, outstanding complexity and a heavenly velvety, smooth taste that just lasts forever.
Enough backbone to last for a long time, and will surely develop even more complexity and even better taste, but this is open for business already.
It’s on the brink to 96 points already = Extraordinary, and I’m sure it will reach there!
I can only agree and emphasize what Tavastgatan writes.
A perfect example of Chambolle at its best!
    Way to go!
    I need more of this.
    I'm in love!

  • Chambolle at its best. It is so smooth and velvety, just like the interior of a fine woman's vagina. Plenty of lovely fruit, minerals and gorgeous spice notes. Every Burgundy lover should try this.
