Community Tasting Notes

Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 90.7 points

  • Dry-farmed from a vineyard within three viticultural appellations: Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley, and Mt. Veeder, at an average elevation of 2000 ft. Deep purple, this unfiltered, medium-bodied, softly textured Syrah has aromas of black- and blue- berries, raspberries, damp earth, and pan grille. The palate is rich with cherries and plums in the foreground, and a hint of oak spice in the background. Slight bitter-chocolatey tannins on the medium-plus finish. 14.5% abv. 145 cases -- what's that, six barrels? Drink or hold.
