(Sheridan Vineyard Singularity Syrah) Hello friends. It’s becoming an all too familiar story—a knock-out Washington winery that has to move (almost) entirely into a presale model. It’s what happens to a well-loved brand when they receive a decade of 95-99point reviews from Jeb Dunnuck. And that’s exactly what has happened to Sheridan. Sheridan’s Singularity Syrah and Block 1 Cabernet have become such review darlings that now, for the second year in a row, we have to offer them pre-sale without our own tasting notes. However, when it comes to descriptions, the reviews below will more than suffice. There are three wines offered in total today, a collection that represents the breadth of Scott Greer’s vigneron excellence. From prices in the twenties to north of a hundy, varieties ranging from Bordeaux to Rhone, these wines always represent fine value for the tag. Let’s dive in:This is only the fourth time in our history we’ve been able to offer Singularity, which was officially released yesterday. It is the top Syrah of the estate, made entirely from estate fruit, and brought up all in new oak. It is a rare bird indeed.
