(Scholium Project Chardonnay Choêphoroi Los Olivos Vineyard) Light lemon yellow color; intriguing, baked pineapple, creamy lemon, vanilla nose; sense of oxidation on entry, concentrated, heavy, herbal baked pineapple, minerally palate; medium-plus finish (I've liked a few things I've tried from this producer, and I know they're pushing the boundaries, but this was a big "fail" for me; screwy labeling too, which says "California White Wine," without mentioning Chardonnay, and also listing Los Olivos Vineyard; hard to imagine this going with any kind of food)
