2009 Insignia, Napa Valley

BLEND: 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec from 100% estate-grown vineyards as follows:
. 51% Stags Leap District (27% Barboza Vineyard, 24% Las Rocas Vineyard)
. 27% St. Helena (Spring Valley Vineyard)
. 11% Napa Valley (Suscol Vineyard)
. 6% Oak Knoll District (Yountville Vineyard)
. 5% Rutherford (Banca Dorada Vineyard)

WINEMAKER'S NOTES: Grapes were picked at an average 24.2* Brix and fermented in stainless steel tanks after a cold soak of 5 days. The wine was aged 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
The 2009 Insignia is highlighted by aromas of blueberries, blackberries and dark plums intertwined with baking spice, currants and cigar box. The mouth feel is lush and velvety with dark fruit and spice notes, showing incredible depth and concentration.
