Soil : Gravel and pebbles on a clayey-silica subsoil on the foothills of Sonnay.
Grape Variety : Cabernet Franc.
The Vines : The oldest plot in the vineyard (50 years old).
Vinification/Maturation : Hand harvest. Fermentation in concrete vats lasting 15 to 25 days. Maturing in casks of 3 to 5 years old for 12 months.
Characteristics : ? Les Grézeaux ? is a full-bodied wine, dense but smooth thanks to the gravel content in the soil. This a wine to keep in a good cellar for 10 years or more depending on the vintage.
