Accolades:
98 Pts.- Robert Parker: "Perhaps The Finest Example Of This Cuvee Guigal Has Yet Made, The 2010 Condrieu La Doriane Flirts With Perfection. Profoundly Intense With Abundant Notes Reminiscent Of Caramelized Oranges,
Lychee Nuts, Apricots, Spring Flowers And A Liqueur Of Wet Rocks, This Superb, Full-Bodied, Rich Condrieu Possesses Slightly Higher Acids Than The 2009. It Should Keep For 5-10 Years."
94 Pts.- Wine Spectator: "Offers A Flattering, Corpulent Feel, With Pear, Creamed Peach And Papaya Notes That Glide Along, Lined With Macadamia Nut, Bitter Almond And Green Fig Details. A Flash Of Salted Butter Gives
The Showy Finish Good Contrast. Very Long, Exhibiting Gorgeous Mouthfeel. Drink Now Through 2018."
Winemaker Notes:
Guigal Has Produced La Doriane, A Luxury Cuvée Of Condrieu, Since The 1994 Vintage. The Viognier Grapes For This Wine Are Sourced From Some Of The Finest Sites In The Appellation, Including Côtes Chatillon, A Steeply Terraced Vineyard
Overlooking The Town Of Condrieu Itself. The Other Vineyards Are Coteaux De Chery And Colombier, Situated Further South, And Starting In 2005, Château Volan – An Exceptionally Steep, South-Facing Vineyard Near The Town Of Malleval.
Tasting Notes:
Eye : Brilliant Clear Pale Golden Yellow.
Nose : White Flowers, Apricot, White Peaches. Intensely Powerful And Elegant Aromas.
Palate : Freshness, Round, Rich And Full-Bodied. Fully Expressive Of The Terroir. Great Finesse And Freshness.
