Oddbins: At last this Saint-Estèphe has finally returned to making the quality of wines worthy of its Supérieur classification. Harnessing the ultra-ripe 2003 vintage, this is the wine with which Château Lilian-Ladouys finally grabbed the lapels of the wine critics and screamed, 'we're back!'
Method of Production : The handpicked estate grown grapes were destemmed, crushed then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once pressed from the skins the wine was matured in French oak barrels, one third new, for 18 months. The wine was fined with egg white then bottled.
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot & 5% Cabernet Franc. alch 13.5%
