2012 Abrente Albarino, Michael Havens and I are both thrilled with this years 2012. In part, it is because of the wonderful vintage that has created an indelible Albarino of cut and polish. It is also in part because our new site we developed on limestone hillside in the windy American Canyon has contributed almost 35% to the final wine. The wine from the site adds remarkable aromatic intrigue to the final composition. This, like the rose’, is going to make a very friendly companion to the summer porch and dinner table.
