WINEMAKER NOTES:
This 2004 Merlot is very deeply colored and generous.
Aromas of black currant and blueberry dominate.
There is a healthy dose of deeply tasted oak.
We believe this Merlot will develop great layers with bottle age.
Once again you see a great vintage with moderate tannins and a good acid backbone.
This wine comes from a blend of several of the best Columbia Valley Appellation vineyards.
"In my opinion, the finest Merlots are coming off the Wahluke Slope, a warmer area with great, well-draining soils and absolutely beautiful Merlot.
The Red Mountain bench also produces stunning Merlot."
