Planted in 1909, this vineyard is situated in the northern, warmer reaches of the Russian River Valley, near the boarders of Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys on Limerick Lane. Fermented indigenously with a healthy percentage of interplanted petite syrah and grand noir, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered after 16 months in French Oak, 20% new.

Medium to dark Ruby. Wow! Head turning aromas of black cherry and blackberry are mixed with notes of red licorice and allsorts. What a sniff! Full bodied but impeccably balanced. This is a real step up from the excellent 2005. Drinking well now, we see little reason to wait. 2008 - 2011
