Winery note:

Each year the chilly, rock-bound vines at our Alpine Vineyard struggle to set a crop and ripen their tiny berries. The resulting wine offers an unusual combination of black-fruited power, richness and crushed rock expression that tastes like no other Pinot Noir in the world. January 2009: This will improve for 5+ years but is accessible now with at least an hour of decanting. Drink/Hold.
