Early in the 1960s Chappellet Vineyards planted Chenin Blanc vines. Since 1992, the winery has selected the best lots of Chenin Blanc from its 40-year old vines for their Old Vine Cuvee. The 2004 vintage is the last to be made from this block of the vineyard. The vines were ripped out after that harvest.
