Pop and pour and served with food (roast chicken, in case you were wondering). Tight, bright acidity, a bit tart and showing some whole cluster herbal notes. Bright tart berries and a hint of sandalwood on the finish. Good but not great.
Pop and pour and served with food (roast chicken with olives, capers and onions and served over cous cous, in case you were wondering.) Followed over three hours both with and without food. Good color. Nose is dark red fruits and some earthy spice notes. Good red fruits, cherries and plums, with a mineral note. Acidity keeps it bright. Good wine.
Note: I did not get any "bubblegum" or "over-oakyness" as others have commented. There was a slight touch of sweetness from ripe fruit but balanced by the acidity and spice element of the wine.
Pop and pour and served with food (chicken meatballs in a tomato sauce). Followed over three hours and then re-corked. A simple and "quaffable" table wine. Nicely balanced with some cedar and dark fruits. Nothing too impressive. Drinkable but not complex. Tasted the following day after being re-corked and it was oxidized and flat. Poured the rest down the drain.
